Main US retailers cancel Nintendo Change 2 pre-orders


Main retailers within the US have began contacting clients to tell them their Nintendo Change 2 pre-orders have been canceled simply days forward of the console’s formal launch.

Dozens of posts have appeared on social media from clients of Walmart, Goal, and GameStop, complaining that their pre-orders have been canceled, sometimes without notice.

Some clients report that they’ve been advised the retailers have been “out of inventory,” whereas others have been advised there was an issue with processing funds, which they refute.

This Walmart customer support consultant reportedly told one buyer: “I remorse to tell you that the order has been canceled as a result of numerous orders.”

“We’ve got recognized a small group of shoppers whose orders have been sadly affected by a system error,” Goal has mentioned in a press release to press. “We acknowledge how thrilling this new product launch is, and are working to make sure these clients are taken care of.”

This information comes simply days after UK video games retailer GAME similarly issued a statement admitting it had to cancel “some” Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders last week. The corporate, which is owned by Sports Direct owner Frasers Group, didn’t clarify why orders needed to be canceled or make clear what number of orders have been affected, however apologized in a statement posted on its web site and on social media, blocking replies.

Nintendo Change 2 is slated to launch worldwide on June 5. Nintendo has previously said it is committed to making its products “as obtainable as we possibly can” amid fluctuating market circumstances because of the US tariffs.
